With our hardware solutions, we measure all types of energy sources (gas, electricity, solar, heat, batteries) in real time. Consumers can easily install our measurement units themselves and the firmware can be updated remotely to ensure long-term high-quality measurement data.
AURUM MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGY
Aurum has developed several devices with which to measure residential energy streams. The Aurum measurement kit consists of a measurement plug, a communication plug, sensors and a P1 cable. Our products are manufactured in the Netherlands and have been CE certified since 2015. End users can install the hardware themselves and it is compatible with 97% of all energy meters in the Netherlands: analogue, digital and smart.
MEASUREMENT UNIT
In 2017 and 2018, our developers worked hard on a new hardware solution. The communication function has been integrated into the measurement plug. This has made the second plug superfluous and allowed us to reduce the amount of materials needed to manufacture the Aurum measurement kit by 40%. Most of this reduction comes from plastic and metals. As an added benefit, it is now cheaper than ever to gain valuable energy insights. We have also managed to improve the energy efficiency of the equipment. The Aurum set already had extremely low energy requirements, but our new solution performs even better in this regard: its power consumption has been reduced from 4W to just 2W. Our new solution requires a slightly different installation process than before. People can use their smartphone to create a secure Wi-Fi connection between their measurement plug and their home network.
Our standard measurement kit consists of:
- 1 Measuring unit
- 1 P1-Cable
- 2 Sensors and holders
In combination with gross production meters, we can read external energy sources. The measurement data is transmitted to our secure server.
