Aurum and Circet Netherlands launch partnership: the Heat Network Platform
Aurum Europe and Circet Netherlands today announce a strategic partnership to jointly introduce a new digital model for district heating management: Heat-as-a-Service (HaaS), delivered through the Heat Network Platform. This end-to-end solution enables heat companies to digitalise their networks, achieve flawless billing and deliver transparent service to end users.
The Heat Network Platform
With Heat-as-a-Service, Aurum and Circet Netherlands offer a fully integrated concept that digitalises district heating operations and provides heat providers with reliable, scalable technology and operational support. At the core of the solution are Aurum’s EnergyGrip platform and Nextalink gateway, which together provide reliable real-time data collection, monitoring and Billing-as-a-Service. Circet Netherlands contributes 24/7 operational support via its Network Operations Center (NOC) and Service Operations Center (SOC), including coordination of field technicians.
By combining technology, data and operations — all brought together in the Heat Network Platform — heat providers gain a complete solution that unburdens them from operational complexity and supports everything from data collection and monitoring to billing and customer service.
Supporting compliance with the Collective Heat Act (Wcw)
The introduction of the Collective Heat Act (Wcw) brings new mandatory requirements for district heating operators, such as transparent billing, real-time monitoring and reliable data. Heat-as-a-Service is designed to support heat companies not only in complying with these legal obligations but also in optimising their daily operations.
Thanks to automated Billing-as-a-Service, continuous data collection, and smart fault handling, the EnergyGrip platform and Nextalink gateway deliver the digital foundation needed to meet Wcw requirements.
A key benefit of this model is that heat companies no longer need to maintain extensive in-house service teams. With real-time monitoring, fault detection is automated, issues are forwarded to the NOC / SOC, and field tasks are coordinated efficiently — leading to faster resolution, lower operational costs and minimal downtime.
“ With Heat-as-a-Service and the Heat Network Platform, we help heat companies directly comply with the Collective Heat Act. Together with Circet, we fully relieve operators of operational burdens — from real-time insight and Billing-as-a-Service to NOC / SOC-enabled support and incident handling. By automating fault detection and routing via the EnergyGrip platform and Nextalink gateway, heat providers can operate more efficiently without a large internal service team. Together, we are building future-ready heat networks. ”
