Aurum & Kiwa: Stronger Together in Safety
At Aurum, we believe that smart technology is only truly valuable when it is also secure.
That’s why we have our IoT Gateway independently tested by Kiwa, a leading specialist in cybersecurity and certification.
With their international experience and thorough testing, we can guarantee that our solutions are not only smart but also safe and reliable for everyday use.
Watch the video below for a behind-the-scenes look at our certification process.
The challenge: Safety in a connected world
Our products, such as the Nextalink IoT Gateway and the EnergyGrip platform, are part of an increasingly digitalized energy system.
That means continuous connectivity with sensors, systems, and users. This offers great opportunities, but also demands maximum attention to cybersecurity.
RED certification as a mark of quality
To formally demonstrate our commitment to safety and reliability, we worked with Kiwa to achieve RED certification (Radio Equipment Directive) — the formal European standard for radio and IoT devices.
During this process, our gateway was thoroughly assessed for cyber risks, communication protocols, and technical integrity.
Together we completed:
-
A pre-assessment and technical review
-
Firmware and documentation improvements
-
The formal testing and certification according to European standards
The result: an officially certified product, ready for the European market — and a clear proof of reliability for our partners.
Collaboration as the key to success
The collaboration with Kiwa went beyond testing. It was a process of dialogue, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
KIWA HELPED US TAKE THE PRODUCT TO A HIGHER LEVEL – NOT ONLY TECHNICALLY, BUT ALSO FORMALLY.
Looking ahead: innovation with confidence
At Aurum, innovation never stands apart from safety.
The RED certification is not the end point, but a milestone in a broader journey: building a secure, smart, and scalable platform for energy connectivity.
With partners like Kiwa, we are turning that vision into reality — step by step.
