Reliable data as the foundation for better advice

As an energy consultant or energy advisor, you often work with information from a wide range of sources. This may include energy bills, meter readings, supplier portals, spreadsheets, building management systems and separate dashboards.

Collecting, validating and combining this information takes time. Missing or outdated data can also make it difficult to assess performance accurately and demonstrate the impact of energy-saving measures.

EnergyGrip brings all relevant energy data together in one central environment. This gives you a consistent foundation for analysis, reporting and advice.

You can identify notable developments sooner, compare locations more fairly and help customers make decisions based on current information.

Betrouwbare oplossingen voor energie-adviseurs

From a one-off analysis to ongoing support

An energy assessment provides insight at a particular moment in time. However, energy use, installations and business processes continue to change.

With EnergyGrip, energy consultants can continue supporting customers after the initial advice. By monitoring energy performance continuously, you can see whether measures are delivering the intended results and where new optimisation opportunities arise.

This creates opportunities for services such as:

  • Continuous energy monitoring
  • Periodic energy and performance reports
  • Detection of abnormal consumption
  • Monitoring of energy-saving measures
  • CO₂ reporting and sustainability insights
  • Comparisons between buildings and locations
  • Data-driven optimisation advice
  • Support for energy and sustainability targets

This allows you to develop your services from one-off analysis into long-term, data-driven customer support.

What does EnergyGrip offer your energy consultancy?

Less time spent collecting data

Automatically bring together information from different meters, customers and systems. This reduces the time spent on manual meter readings, separate exports and combining spreadsheets.

More reliable energy advice

Base your analysis and recommendations on current and historical metering data. This allows you to explain more clearly where energy is being used, which anomalies occur and where optimisation may be possible.

Insight into the impact of measures

Compare energy use before and after an adjustment and monitor the results over a longer period. Period comparisons and degree-day corrections help you interpret developments more accurately.

Proactive customer support

Alerts and periodic monitoring help you identify anomalies sooner. This allows you to contact customers before unexpected consumption continues for an extended period.

Recurring consultancy services

Make monitoring, reporting and evaluation part of an advisory or service agreement. This adds a recurring service to work that would otherwise mainly be project-based.

One environment for multiple customers

Manage different customers, buildings, locations and connections from one platform. Roles and access permissions determine which data is visible to consultants, advisors, customers and other users.

One independent platform for all energy data

EnergyGrip brings data from different energy sources together in one clear energy management platform.

This includes:
  • Electricity
  • Gas
  • Water
  • Heat
  • Solar panels
  • EV charging points
  • Batteries
  • Main meters and submeters
  • Data from external systems
Within EnergyGrip, you can:
  • Monitor consumption and generation
  • Analyse current and historical data
  • Structure customers, locations and connections
  • Compare buildings and periods
  • Detect anomalies and peaks
  • Configure alerts
  • Calculate CO₂ emissions
  • Apply degree-day corrections
  • Create benchmarks
  • Prepare graphs and reports
  • Export data or share it through APIs

EnergyGrip operates independently of energy suppliers, meter brands and manufacturers. This allows energy consultants and energy advisors to combine data from different sources without building their services around one closed ecosystem.

EnergyGrip voor installateurs

Without a gateway where possible. With a gateway where necessary.

Does your customer already have digital metering equipment, ODA data or a usable integration? This data can often be made available directly in EnergyGrip.

Is additional on-site data collection required? Nextalink can be used to read existing meters and installations and securely send the data to EnergyGrip.

This means that existing metering equipment does not automatically need to be replaced.

The combination of direct connections, APIs, ODA data and Nextalink makes it possible to manage a wide range of customers and technical situations within the same EnergyGrip environment.

How EnergyGrip works for energy consultants

1. Select a customer or portfolio

We start with a specific advisory requirement. This could be a commercial building, real estate portfolio, production site, educational institution or organisation with multiple branches.

2. Map the data sources

Together, we identify which meters, installations, platforms and other data sources are already available. We also determine which information is needed for your analysis and consultancy services.

3. Connect the data to EnergyGrip

Existing digital data sources are connected directly or through APIs wherever possible. When local data collection is required, Nextalink can be used.

4. Configure customers and dashboards

Customers, buildings, locations, connections and users are clearly structured. Relevant dashboards, alerts, comparisons and access permissions can then be configured.

5. Use the data for advice and reporting

Analyse developments, identify anomalies and use the information for reporting, energy-saving recommendations, evaluations and sustainability targets.

6. Continue monitoring performance

Monitor results after measures have been implemented. This makes it clear whether the expected savings are being achieved and where additional optimisation may be possible.

Which services can energy consultants offer with EnergyGrip?

Energy monitoring as a service

Give customers continuous insight into consumption, generation and performance. Monitoring can be offered as a standalone service or added to an existing consultancy project.

Periodic energy reports

Provide monthly, quarterly or annual reports on consumption, generation, peak loads, CO₂ emissions and notable developments.

Monitoring energy-saving measures

Track energy use before and after measures are implemented. Use current and historical data to assess whether the expected results are being achieved.

Location benchmarking

Compare buildings, branches or other locations based on consumption and performance. Corrections and benchmarks provide a fairer view of the differences between locations.

Anomaly detection

Configure alerts for unexpected consumption, missing data or notable changes. This enables you to investigate what is happening sooner.

Well-founded optimisation advice

Use actual metering data to show where installations, buildings or processes perform differently than expected and which improvements could be explored.

Data for reporting and existing systems

Make energy data available to reporting tools, BI environments, ERP software, building management systems and other applications through the EnergyGrip REST API.

EnergyGrip is the solution

EnergyGrip is the central energy management platform. Nextalink and EnergyFlip are integrated components used when the situation requires them.

EnergyGrip

Within EnergyGrip, energy data, customers, locations, connections, users and analyses are managed centrally.

The platform can be used for:
  • Monitoring and analysis
  • Customer and location management
  • Alerts and notifications
  • Reporting and data exports
  • CO₂ calculations
  • Benchmarks and period comparisons
  • Role and permission management
  • API integrations
  • Support for billing and reporting processes

Nextalink

Nextalink is EnergyGrip’s data collection component. The gateway is used when meters or installations need to be read locally and no suitable digital data connection is available.

Nextalink collects the metering data and sends it securely to EnergyGrip. If digital meters or usable API integrations are already available, a Nextalink gateway is not always required.

EnergyFlip

EnergyFlip is EnergyGrip’s end-user component. Through the app, employees, tenants, residents or other users can gain insight into their own energy consumption.

This helps your customer share energy data more widely across the organisation and involve users more actively in energy-saving efforts.

EnergyFlip can also be provided as a white-label solution, allowing the application to align with the brand identity of your customer or consultancy.

Not every customer requires the same components. EnergyGrip is configured based on the existing meters, systems, users and advisory objectives.
